The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon
(Engr.) Victor Ochei, has urged Deltans to continually support the Governor
Uduaghan administration in its commitment to the faithful implementation of the
three point agenda, as such will provide the necessary impetus for further
development.
He made the call during an interactive session with
journalists at the end of an inter denominational thanksgiving service
commemorating the twenty second anniversary of the creation of Delta State at
the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Effurun.
Hon Ochei cited the education sector as one that has
experienced monumental transformation, considering its importance as the
bedrock on which any societal development is hinged upon.
He equally commended the Uduaghan administration’s
resolve to strengthen the human capital development agendum by way of
empowering indigenous contractors who engage available local labour at the
specialists’ and other levels, thereby giving vent to the human capital
development element of his three-point agenda.
The legislator disclosed that, there could not have been
a more auspicious time than now for this advocacy, as such giant stride
development in the diverse sub sectors will beaqueath enhanced service delivery
to the populace.
He therefore requested Deltans to lend undiluted support
to the administration, adding that, “the Delta State Legislature is poised to
collaborate with the Executive arm in providing the dividends of democracy to
Deltans through progressive legislation”.
