DELTA GUBER: OCHEI GETS ENDORSEMENT FOR 2015

Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Victor Ochei has received the endorsement of Delta Central Progressive Forum (DCPF) to contest for the 2015 governorship election.
Speaking during the inauguration of the group in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, the national coordinator of DCPF, Mr. Ochuko Megere urged Urhobo people to back Ochei in the 2015 governorship.

He said that the Urhobo constitute the largest ethnic group in the state which should play the role of kingmaker by conceding the 2015 governorship position to Delta North Senatorial Zone rather than producing a candidate for the governorship election.
While stating that he is full-blooded Urhobo man, Mejere said that he believes in the interest of justice and fairness, therefore enjoined the Urhobo to jettison the idea of producing a governorship candidate in 2015 and rally round Ochei for the position. He assured the leadership and membership of the group that they were not going to labour in vain if they support Ochei in 2015.
He said: “Although I have not met Ochei one-o-one, but with the way and manner he is handling legislative matters in Delta State House of Assembly, I believe he has all it takes to impact good governance in Delta State as governor of Delta State.
Another member of the group Chief Omonigho Ogbakpah who hails from Mosogar clan Ethiope West LGA said the group is open to all Deltans irrespective of their political parties. He stressed that he is ready to work for a credible man who would move Delta State forward, noting that Deltans should be agitating for good governance and a credible person as governor who would move the state forward.
